This one is still alive, and a bit small.

It is lucky to live in an aquarium, so when it grows up, no one will eat it.

This was my food on sunday, while snorkelling on Isla Mujeres, its called "Filete Isleño" (Island Style fish fillet), its fish fillet on some tomato sauce with olives, lots and lots of onion and other stuff to add flavor.

It was tasty after all.

And then I ask myself, how it is that I am still so fat.

Mmm, like for much as I look, that photo doesn't convince me, I look weird in it.

Anyway, here is my rant on cellphone (mobile phone) batteries. Well the thing is that whoever design cellphones, well the part about battery usage must do so thinking like in self destruction mechanism or something like it.

Thing is, as normal batteries go down, thats ok. Once battery gets so low on charge that it gets to point X, well the cell phone tells you "battery Low" while turning all lights on, and making a beeping sound.

Well thats ok, that it tells you it has low battery now, but thing is, that after that first time, it keeps doing that every 3 to 5 minutes (varies from brand or model), which of course causes that the battery already low, end gettings empty much sooner, than if it didn't do that.

Silver fish

This silver fish looks like piranha

From the time I had fishes, I remember I was told there is another fish that looks a lot like a Piranha, called "Red Pacu", and that the way to tell one from the other is by the jaw.

If my memory is correct, the piranha has the jaw more out to the front, while the Pacu has it more inline. So that makes me think this one is a Piranha, but don0t trust my word on it, I could be wrong.

Even so, it looks pretty

To sort or not to sort

To sort or not to sort

Well last night I decided to put a litte order in one of the tables I have. So there was this other table that was almost empty.
So after making it clean, I said "Well I jut move the thing from the other table to here, and then back"
I start with the CD's DVD's and books, that was easy, since basically is just to move towers of them.
Then came the loose stuff, like the snorkel tube, the cameras, the box with coins, the purses, the papers, the noteboos, and other stuff.
The thing is that before I finished there were no more space to keep moving stuff into the table.

I said "Ok, its logical, since this table is like 10 centimeters smaller", just put them in the meantime on the floor, and once I move all back to the bigger table, there would be no problem.
But noting like that happened, since there was still not enough space, now what, only option was to put some things on the table tha I wanted to leave empty.
I think that sorting and putting order resulted worst than it was before, now things need more space.

At some point when I was a kid I convinced my parent to let me have an aquarium, and for a long time I had fish as pets.

They were always fresh water fishes, but I still remember when they put the first aquarium that sold saltwater fishes, And how the fish that impressed me the most was one of these, that I went there just to see it many times.

At the end not all managed to go, but nonetheless it was a nice and fun night, Went to a different place called "Picante", that although small is well decorated, nice place, they do a show, and have varied music, a nice place to go.

Sat by the table just looping to its coffee cup, his eyes lost in a point beyond the wall where the pots where hanging. That is how Tomas was to start his big day. As if his body knew of how important it was, his senses were more receptive that morning, the smell of coffee seemed more intense, Marina’s cat sound was like a huge motor, his hands where able to feel each hole, each texture of the piece of bread he had on his hands, even the light heat flowing from inside out.


It had been three months since he started training with Don Percibal, he finally managed to use the knives with enough dexterity, his arms had gained enough strength to cut a bone, he was able to measure weight just by holding almost as close as the balance. But till that day he had always been at the counter.

Just a couple of days before Don Percibal had told him - Tomas, I think you are Reddy to help at the killing, you will need to arrive earlier, but there is an extra payment for the time, what you say boy, would you like to learn and try?

I can really use the extra money, and arriving earlier would not be a problem – and with those words Tomas agreed to begin a new training.

After trying to have breakfast, Tomas left the house by a time when the sun was still away, in the tranquility of the neighborhood his steps sounds as those of a military squad. Around the corner a light told him that the butchery was already in activity, just a few more steps and he would face the new responsibilities at the slaughterhouse. Entering the area he could see today’s arrivals, a couple of lambs one black and one white.

Don Percibal said Hi while fixing the knives, Antonio was there too Cleaning the cut tables. Tomas got himself ready taking one of the aprons while Antonio asked him to take one of the lambs and tie it to the pole on the center of the room. As he came closer to them Tomas could still sense a light smell of grass in them, meaning they just came by not long ago. He grabbed one of the rope, but that one refused to walk with him, tried the other and the same occurred, but Tomas didn’t want to pull the by force so decided to take that one on his arms, while he walked to the pole with the little animal in his arms, he could feel the warmth that it had as well as its heartbeat, so fast that he even began to think – If we don’t kill it quickly, it with die itself when its hearth explodes.

A Light laughter took him out of his thinking so he hurried to tie the animal while Don Percibal said, “Tomas, you don’t need to carry them, make them walk to their deaths, and tie him up strong, with this one I will show you how to do it, you will serve the other one”. Tomas saw how the animal started to get all nervous, but when Don Percibal came close to it he managed to calm it down while patting its head. When seeing that one could even thought of a man caring for a pet. But in a second, Don Percibal grabbed the head in one of his hands and pulled it back, and before the animal could react he tied it closer to the pole with the other arm. The poor animal caught by surprise then was only able to bleat in despair. Just as he finishing doing the knot Don Percibal grabbed a knife while saying to Tomas – watch carefull where I do the cut, and note that it has to be a quick movement- and he moved the blade with decision and speed over the lamb throat. It made a last sound; like a cry but it was cut before it finished forming. Its wool began to turn red.

Don Percibal now with calm showed Tomas again how the cut movement was made, the right spot to make the cut, how much strength he needed to put while doing it, meantime the lamb blood started to fall in the little recipient under it. Its legs had started to get loose unable to hold its weight any longer if not by the fact it was still tied.

Once it looked like fully dead, Antonio take it out of the pole, and carried it to one hook to the left to let the rest of the blood run down, at the same time Don Percibal handed Tomas the knife while walking to the other lamb. Tomas was there seeing the blood over the blade as Don Percibal was pulling the little animal towards the pole. Once tied Don Percibal looked towards Tomas wile sporting a huge smile accompanied by a voice who said “Well Tomas, are you ready to kill your first lamb???”

What I like the most in this one is the bra, since it ties up from the front, it helps tu push forward the cheast area, helping with the cleaveage effect.

I liked that the blue fabric is not just blue, but has that little white dots detail.
Also the little pink thingies like flower. Of the bikini-panty part I loved that on the back in the little circled area, it has a little metal-color heart hanging.

Queso Relleno (stuffed cheese)

This one is another typical Yucatan food, Queso Relleno.
They take a ball of Edam Cheese (me likes that cheese), make a little hole, and take a bunch of cheese out from the center.
Then put meat, raisins, olives, and other things inside the cheese.
They cook the cheese. With the cheese they took out they made a cheese sauce.
When serving they cut a slice, and serve it in the cheese sauce and tomato sauce.

Mmmm, delicious.

New Haircut, new hairdo

New Haircut, new hairdo

Saturday I went to villahermosa, the plan was to go out with my friend Karitina to go dance.
Well friday I asked her, if she knew of a beauty saloon I could go to get my hair set a little more.
She went and talked to a friend of her that has one, and then confirmed with me, she made an appointment for saturday evening. So I scheduled myself so as to arrive to Villahermosa with enough time to go to my friends house to change, get makeup, and try to do my hair.
From there to the beauty saloon, and she asked me "how you want the cut?", I was like, No idea, so I told her "well some haircut that fits, but that you dont need to cut too much, I want it to remain as long as possible"
Next the whole show, washing hair, blow dry it, cut, comb, cut, put rolls, and finally the final hair do.
Oh, while we were there, a lady and her daughter arrived to the place, at a start I felt a little nervous, but they went in as normal, saying hi as if nothing.

And now with the hair cut, I can see what a big difference it makes between having just the hair long, and have it with a proper haircut and hairdo. I liked how it ended showing up, and luckily it doesn't show up much when on the normal days I have to o out as boy.
Now the problem is going to be , that next time I remember how to do my hair. :P

Just a note, my walking around downtown was made with a denim skirt a bit longer than this one, and shorter shoes, its just my friend took me this photo, and I have none from

Well, I went to do some walking in downtown Merida, so parked my car, there first funny thing,when I get to the box at the parking place where one get the parking ticket, the

man there asked "Miss, your vehicle plate number", I tried my best to soften my voice but didn't work, so when he heard it, his face change, as if saying "What with the voice??"

From there walk toward the main square, well in 4 of the block to walk to there, there was a man walking a few steps in front of me, who kept tuning his head to look at me,

easily like 5 o 6 times.

Also I passed in an area where this restaurant has set their tables out on the street, with a group of musicians, setting their instruments and stuff, well one of them looks

directly at me, and as I walk next to them, he say on the microphone while looking directly at me "I have fall in love", -- insert red shy face---

I walked around a bit, of course I was not to be walking and walking for hours, so I saw a bookstore there, and decided to go in and buy a book, everything went ok, I was just

one more costumer to them. With a book in hand went to this place that sales ice-cream and sit down a little while slowly eating one and doing little reading.

Took another walk around before coming back to my room, to get ready to go dancing later.

Going out of the car

Going out of the car, well this weekend I went to Merida again.

From a few days before my friend there told me weather had been too hot, normal being almost summer, but since just on friday a tropical-storm-hurricane showed on the area it was cloudy and rainy. Luckily for me it didn't rained while I was out. Well thing is, thinking on the possibility of hot weather I decided to use a skirt a little shorter than the usual ones I use on afternoon exits.


So there was crazy Jessica showing her silly legs.

Again went to Vips to have a nice chat with some coffee. very nice to talk on the afternoon. My friend also gave me a gift, a calendar she made with some photos I have posted before. Later I'll take photo of it and show off.

Since my friend have some stuff to do later, she drive me back to my hotel, where I changed the skirt, for a denim one, a bit longer, and lower shoes.
Tomorrow I will tell about the second part of the adventure.

But me thinks that is the other way. I mean, shadows only show when there is light, if in a completely dark room, how can shadows exist.

What a blocked road can cause.

Well on the island, almost since I arrived they been doing repavement on the street. So they closed a few block for several weeks (sometimes more)
Well from where I live to the gas station is a simple short trip, two blocks forward, turn left, seven blocks forward, and you are there.
But las night, after the left turn, I find that just 2 blocks ahead the street is closed. No Problem I said, just turn left, and at the neareast possible right again and soon I'll be on the other street that takes to the gas station.
There I go, when on the next trun, horror, its full, since there was a crash ahead, but being a few meters after the next corner, its just a matter of just making a bigger round-turn. Anyway just 15 minutoes to get to the next corner. Turn, and surprise, i forgot that street just goes one block before joining to another street that goes to the other side, so need to turn. After like three more turn, finally I get to one main street that crosses the gas-station street, so it should be easy now. Mistake, turns out that they changed the flow of the street I needed to turn, to help with the traffic caused by the blocked street, so needed to go a few more block more, making me ending lamost in the point I started, just two blocks closer to downtown.

At the end I did arrived to the gas-station, after a long trip, making over half an hour on a trip that usually takes 5-7 minutes

After almost 2 months without dressing, and more than one month without updating flickr or blog. The monster is back.

I was kind of ultra busy from work, add to it a certain feeling of not wanting to do much or put effort.

But hopefully this time is not a one-time Jessica appearance in between.
