More uniform from the Guard Change

Top, The new cadets (I suppose) in blue being given directions by their officer in green, accompanied by the girl in Scottish outfit. Look the different reactions to the officer pointing something outside of view. The one more to the left, seems more attracted to see the officer, the next one, to see what he is pointing, and the one to the right seems more interested in the girl, Perhaps thinking on asking her out.

Middle is the band, similar outfit to the guards.

And at the bottom, the Scottish part of the band.

Evil Jessica says : hey look, they allow men in skirt in the Canadian army, maybe I should join, just make the skirt shorter.

regular Jessica says: shut up, you evil one, or do you want Scottish people to hate us, is a kilt, not a skirt.

We went to the change of guard in Ottawa

Every Morning (actually only during sumer they do it public) the guards that have been guarding different points, and the ones that are going to cover the new posts.

The sergeant then inspects both troops for arms, dress and colors.
Then check for some gun movements.

After they are ready to go, the band plays the anthem, and the new guard marchs to their new position.

A couple of Canadian Uniforms.

The one on the left, it must be very hot to wear that hat on summer, plus the coat. Nice standing.

The one on the right more cool, but the hat kind of looks like might affect sight.

Painted in purple

Painted in purple

Painted in purple

The city of Ottawa was celebrating the 150 years of being selected as Capital of Canada.
From what I understood, on that time, the Queen of England selected Ottawa among several cities, to be named capital.

At night they had this light show against the parliament building, where there was a bit of history, bit of landscape, bit of artistic images.

I liked how the tower looked in purple.

This is one of the building around the Parliament Area in Ottawa

Again, the gothic style.

I like the green tone of the building roofs. I know its because of the oxide, and lots of them had it cleaned to show the brown tone. But me thinks they look better in green.

A bit blurry and noisy picture, but with only mi hands as support in a night pic, I think I made it ok, in some of them.

The next stop of the trip, was Ottawa, that is the capital of Canada. It looks like a nice city, unfortunately the time there was too short.

Arriving on the afternoon, could only walk around the downtown area, and most of my photos were during night.

Lots of big buildings, mostly in kind of a gothic style. I liked that.
