Some Flowers

Some Flowers

Some Flowers

Pretty flowers, loved the burnt coloring

Berries

Berries

Berries

Walking in the forest, I saw little fruits and berries. Growing in the wild.
All of them looking so yummi and tempting.
Specially this ones, me really wanted to take one and eat it,
But then there would be two problems.

Problem 1, if they tasted good, I would want to eat them all
Problem 2, didn't knew if they are edible, or poisonous. And I think I dont want to die by poison.

So, better let them be there, and brought a picture with me.

A Walk into the forest

A Walk into the forest

A Walk into the forest

This photo was taken in a place called Mont Tremblant, in Canada.
Its a very lovely town, with houses in an interesting style.
During winter is a sky place, covered with snow it must be very pretty.
During summer, the forest is all green. An the thing to do is to walk the trails around town.
A very good exercise. when we were there it ws a little foggy, so it added more suspense to the walking.
At some parts, the track is barely noticeable, only a few red tags on the trees to guide you were to go.
Didn't saw bears.
Amazing to walk among all those trees.

NotreDame Basilica in Montreal

NotreDame Basilica in Montreal

NotreDame Basilica in Montreal

From the outside it looks like any big church.
You approach the entrance door, a bit shadowy.
Then you enter, and Wow, that was my actual reaction to this view, to just say Wow.
The pretty decorations, the colors, the light games, and that blue tones, shinning to you, is just marvelous.
A must see thing.
One might spend hours, just looking at all the decorations, to all the little details, to all the light games through the vitral windows.

Door

Door

Door

A frame of stone, black and cold, in carved square with perfect angles, frmaing a wooden door, soft and polished, without decorations. Soft lines only interrupted by a lock.
Antique, out of place in this modern world of electronic doors, keeping perhaps a secret of old times, or maybe a forgotten treasure.
So much time has passed, that all thief are now electronics experts, its only her that knows the techniques to open this kind of lock. Othewise he would have tried himself.
Curios, to see how she beleives that with only three pieces of wire she wants to defeat that metallic monster. Such a rudimentary technique.
Looks like a game of ages ago, like the chinesse sticks his aunts used to play.

Then a click sounds, a smile draws in her face, her cheecks rise, her eyes shine. He notices then how pretty she is, too bad she usually is so cruel.
Sh raises, facing him, with that look of her in the eyes, bit sadistic, that has always scared him.
With a hand on the door, and another on her chest, she says "Its open now, but I doubt it will let you go inside"
She pushes both, the surprise of the movement, or maybe the loss of concentration on looking her, have made him loose balance. He falls observing how she crosses the door frame.
Around her soluitte before it closes, he manages to see, it was just an empty room

Then he understands, the treasure was her, and it was him who locked her away.
There are the little wires, the only tools nedded to release her. He tries, and tries, but if it looked so easy, like a game.
Damn you modern things, now both trapped.

PS. about the photo, is a door handle I saw, and I liked.

Le Chateau Frontenac

Le Chateau Frontenac

The pictures of the trip to Canada are back.
I knwow, I know I been posting them for a long, long time. I promise to try to finish them as quickly as I can.

Also this week been a bit tiresome, everyday, staying at office till over midnight. No time to anything.
Hopefully weekend goes well.

Also there is hurricane alert, we are at the moment in just "pay attention to news" state. Yellow alert, I think is called.
They expect it to hit the other side of the peninsula monday or tuesday.

Me prays it does not hit over there, or not hard, Please hurrican be nice. A special tought to my friend on Cancun.
Also that the rain of the borders does not flood us.

Well back to the photo. This is "Le Chateau Frontenac", that is a very luxurious hotel in Quebec.
I posted two images, since I couldn't decide which one to show off, the light time one, or the night shot. Both just look amazing.

Sign

Sign

Sign

Lots of this kind of sign all around Quebec.

Yes there were other more pretty, or more elaborated, but hey, I love Ice Cream, so the decision to post this one instead of another, was totally made with the tongue or stomach.

Lion 17

Lion17

Lion 17

A lion to guard the entrance at House 17.

It looks nice, plus the blue tone is really pretty.

Quebec Rue Champlain

Quebec Rue Champlain

Quebec Rue Champlain

The a stop in Quebec.

From the cities I visited in Canada this one , was the one I liked the most. Even being so crowded. There was just something about the architecture style, the going up and down, the lots of tourist, the lots of miniparks, that is so captivating and at the same time relaxing.

We walked a lot, hours and hours of walking.

This photo is from one of the busiest street, Rue Champlain. I know Rue is street in french.

Montmorency from above

Montmorency from above

Montmorency from above

taken from the bridge on top of the waterfall.

Maybe I am just that crazy, lot of people seem a bit scared when looking down.

To me it was great, I even felt the urge to jump. I guess is one cool fall, next and inside the water. Too bad we humans are not designed to fall that much without dying.

Montmorency Waterfall

Montmorency Waterfall

Montmorency Waterfall

Then we went to the Montmorency Waterfall. Its tall, and nice.

At first I thought, "Wow, thats gonna be one good stair climb", but then they took us up by bus, only to came down the stairs.

One thing about it, is that is near to the highway-road, so it sure is a nice view when driving around there. a waterfall on one side, the river-coast to the other.

Lion in Sainte Anne Basilique

Lion in Sainte Anne Basilique

Lion in Sainte Anne Basilique

On the trip we went to the Sainte Anne Basilique, that is a church dedicated to Sainte Anne, in the Bupreau coast in Canada.

Is a big church, yes I took photos of the church, but didn't felt like puting one more, so I am posting instead a picture of one detail that captured my attention, a lion in bronze

Canada Rainbow,

Rainbow in Canada

Canada Rainbow,

Seven colors. Purple, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red.

Evil scientist tell us that the reason for the rainbow to exist is that light reflects in the water drops, and different length waves bounce in different angles, causing the light composed of all seven colors, to spread out and show the colors.

Of course being an explanation from the evil scientists, is more complicated, and becomes boring.

Then when I was little in religion school, they taught us, that Noah, build and arc, put lots of animals inside, and then God, make it rain for 40 days, and everything was flooded, at the end, God promised never to make it rain that much, and as a sign of His promises, he created the rainbow, to appear after every rain. Of course one can see it the other way, as a reminder that rain can destroy if it last 40 days. Or in the case of my island even less days.

Another explanation, came from the boy scouts, the colors where fighting to decide which one was the prettiest one, so Mother Nature became sad of hearing them fight, and she cried, or in simple words, it rained. But the colors kept fighting. So she got angry, and screamed, and so came lighting, . Colors became scared, and become closer, hugging themselves, and so the rainbow appeared for the first time. Mother Nature was impressed by the beauty of the rainbow, that she stopped crying and screaming. And from that day, whenever it rains colors put a rainbow to stop it.

I like that last one the most.

Bupreau Canyon WaterFall

Bupreau Canyon WaterFall

Bupreau Canyon WaterFall

In the Bupreau Canyon there is this waterfall.

With rainbow included when sun light hits in the right direction.

Its a short walk to go down, and then up again.

Quite impressive, plus one can see the forest from the outside.

At some point one can cross from one side to the other, either by bridge, or by zip wire (aerial runway) Guess which one the biological entity choose.

Canada Forest

Canada Forest

Canada Forest

A view from a forest area in Canada, near the Bupreau Canyon.

Not something I can see around here.

We have forest areas in Mexico yes, but they all very far from where I live now.

Strange Flower

Flor Rara

Strange Flower

This flower is different, like me.

Look at the pointy, spiky things under (or in this case to the right) of the purple things, I bet they are painful to touch.

But hey pretty things need to defend themselves
A bit dark, since it was in the shadowy area of the forest, and I forgot to change the ISO level. Sorry

Uniforms

Uniforms

Uniforms

More uniform from the Guard Change

Top, The new cadets (I suppose) in blue being given directions by their officer in green, accompanied by the girl in Scottish outfit. Look the different reactions to the officer pointing something outside of view. The one more to the left, seems more attracted to see the officer, the next one, to see what he is pointing, and the one to the right seems more interested in the girl, Perhaps thinking on asking her out.

Middle is the band, similar outfit to the guards.

And at the bottom, the Scottish part of the band.

Evil Jessica says : hey look, they allow men in skirt in the Canadian army, maybe I should join, just make the skirt shorter.

regular Jessica says: shut up, you evil one, or do you want Scottish people to hate us, is a kilt, not a skirt.
