Yellow Pirate
Yellow Pirate
So I went to TVMEX Halloween party.
I was unable to go down on my waist measurement as I wanted to 88, but got close enough, 90 cm, and so tried the costume and since it was ok, I ended up going as yelow pirate girl.
Missed the hat and parrot.
I think I didn't look so bad after all.
And the party was a total fun time.

Alebrije
Alebrije
Alebrijes, are fantastic creatures of weird and bizarre yet familiar shapes.
Saturday 25, there was an Alebrijes Parade on DF, and by luck I was going by the street where it was to go by, and just a few minutes later I was there and saw them and took a few pics.
Here one big orange Alebrije.

New hairdo on Villa
New hairdo on Villa
This saturday I went to Villahermosa to go out as Jessica.
My friend there managed to get me an appointment at the beauty salon, I wanted to try a different hair style.
This time the style went with hair all to the back and tight, then lose in the back. An extension of hair was added to create more hair volume there.
At a start I was a little bit doubtful of that style, leaving all face clear of hair, and all hair to the back, not a style I ever thought of trying, but since makeup was also good, and combined both, I think the looks was good, I decided to try it, and by the end, I liked it.
Here a photo of almost full body

Too short
Wearing the red miniskirt, its too short.
On the weekend I also went to the movies, Went to see the movie "Mirrors"
Its an interesting movie, and it got me a bit scared a few times, also the burned scenes and the evil nun at the end are scary.
Its a ok movie to watch if you like horror movies.

Prairie Dog
Prairie Dog
After visiting the "Museo de las Aves" , I went to the "Museo del desierto" (desert museum) in Saltillo, a very interesting place.
Once you finish seeing the museum part, there is a small area wth a few local animals.
Among those a place with a group of Prairie Dogs.
They are called like that, ince they do a sound like a little dog barking.
This friend on the photo is in watching time. The prairie dogs always are in groups, while some of them eat, the other are watching on their feet, trying to spot any animal that eats them either on earth or air, and to be ready to warn the group so everyone hides underground.
They look so cute, even beings rodents, same family of the rats.

To end my tour around Coahuila I traveled from Parras to Saltillo, to change buses so had a few hours free in between. So took my time to visit a little around.
One place I went was the "Museo de las Aves", (Bird Museum), that is very interesting, has a large collections of birds on exhibit. All dead birds but well preserved. Sadly no photos are allowed on the exhibit area.
On the garden they had a couple of eagles and this owl, very pretty animals, but its sad they can not fly at will

Templo of Santo Madero in Parras
After going around Cuatro Cienegas I went to Parras Coahuila.
Parras is one of Mexicos places designed as "Pueblo Magico"
Before planning my trip to Cuatro Cienegas I didn't even knew it existed, but looking around discovered it is famous for its wines, being like an oasis in the middle of the dessert, and also exist from a very long time.
Here in the photo is the Templo of "Santo Madero", a church build to honor the Holy Cross. And from the top of the hill, it was a difficult way up, one can see a great view of the area.

Dunes 3
Flower from Cuatro cienegas
Plant at the Dunes
Plant at the Dunes
A little plant at the dunes area.
I went by fall, not summer, and even so it was hot, Add to it being dryand sun reflecting on the sand.
Soil its all sand, gypsum and stones around.
And even so thousands of plants live there.
This little plant , I liked how it looks on the photo, small, simple, nothing fancy, yet still living fully in such an arid place.

Dunes at Cuatro cienegas
Dunes at Cuatro cienegas
On the Cuatro Cienegas Valley, there is a part that is more desert like with dunes, most of it from gypsum.
A desert like landscape.
Unfortunately the area has only 10 years of being declared biological reserve, so before that the area was mined to extract the gypsum, so at the moment dunes are small and few.
The rock formation saw here is a Dune Heart, is the gypsum that went solidified at the center of the dune due to rains, heat and weight. And since it was not as cheap to extract it, it was left over after.
This one is interesting, looks like a castle fortress.
One can see a few spot where sand has beginning to gather, maybe in a few years, this will be covered again.

Stromatolites
Stromatolites
From the greek STROMA-bed and LITOS-roca, they are rock formations formed under water by the residuals generated by microorganism and bacterias.
Cuatro Cienegas is one of very few places were there are still living Stromatolites, Stromatolites existed in prehistoric times, and were the basis for oxygen generation.
The stromatolites at Cuatro Cienegas are special since are the only ones inland not around sea on earth.
They have been studied by lots of scientist including NASA.
Very interesting
