Of Raw Processing

Of Raw Processing

Not only does one has to learn how to operate the camera.
It also uses a RAW image format.
So its no longer a just copy and paste, of the JPEG files.
Yes, the software I use to view images can handle RAW files, and convert them to JPEG.
But the camera brought this software to process RAW files. so I decided to give it a little test.

One can change the white balance.
The brightness
Apply a processing script (it has 4 portrait, landscape,Nautral, and Monocrome)
Color levels.

Guess I will have to learn what all those things means.

The original file as taken from the camera, is the top left, with this parameters.

Exposure time 1/13 sec
Exposure Bias 1.33
F Number 4
Iso speed 800
White Balance 5600K
Focal length 28 mm
No flash

The new bear

Osito

The new bear

And here is a new bear toy I have.
It's cute and with lots of colors.

Camera Testing

Camera Testing

So to start learning what the diferent numbers in the camera means. I went out to do some comparison photos.
It was during night thought, I know I should have done beter during daylight, that will wait till weekend.
But it was interesting to see the effects of light and dark.
The FNumber is the Apperture or so I think.
I shooted all of the pics, from the same place. Except for the last 3 ones.

FIRST ROW

Exposure 1/4 sec
Exposure Bias 1.33 EV
F number 4.5
ISO 1600
Its a bright one, but some colors look a bit overexposed.

Exposure 1/5 sec
Exposure Bias 1 EV
F number 4
ISO 800
A bit dark, but things can be seen right. I liked it.

Exposure 1/6 sec
Exposure Bias 1 EV
F number 4
ISO 400
Its dark.

SECOND ROW

Exposure 1/3 sec
Exposure Bias 1 EV
F number 5.6
ISO 1600
Good light, Objects in motion a bit blurry but not much.

Exposure 1/5 sec
Exposure Bias 2 EV
F number 4
ISO 1600
Bit more Light, movig objects bit blurry.

Exposure 1/1 sec
Exposure Bias 2 EV
F number 8
ISO 1600
More light, but in this one blurryness is a lot.

THIRD ROW

Exposure 1/10 sec
Exposure Bias 0 EV
F number 4
ISO 800
Quite dark, but colors seem more natural in this one.

Exposure 1/1 sec
Exposure Bias 0 EV
F number 4
ISO 800
This one looks way too fake, overlighted, overblurry, colors bad.

Exposure 1/3 sec
Exposure Bias 0 EV
F number 8
ISO 800
Natural colors too, bit dark, less glow from lamps than the first one of the row.

FOURTH ROW

Exposure 1/8 sec
Exposure Bias 0 EV
F number 20
ISO 1600
Way too dark, can only see lamp lights.

Exposure 1/2 sec
Exposure Bias 0 EV
F number 20
ISO 1600
Dark one too, but The effect of lamps is nice, like little stars, maybe do a crop from this one.

Exposure 1.3 sec
Exposure Bias 1.67 EV
F number 5.6
ISO 400
That one seems to have good lighting, but probably car there contributed, since other car is way to blurry, more than in any other pic.

FIFTH ROW

Thats to see the zoom capabilities of the lens
It goes from 18 to 55 mm.

Focal Length 18 mm

Focal Length 35 mm

Focal Length 55 mm

Devils

Diabolos

Devils

Another bit of the traditions of town.

On Saturday there is this celebration called "La quema de Judas" (I think the translation to english is Burning Judas)
People create devils, or mockery figures of people that are considered evil.

Some reallly nice figures, nice on the handicraft technique, can be seen like in the pics.

And once it is night, they start burning them, lots of fireworks and explosions.

Really fun to see.

New Toy

NewToy

New Toy

I have a new toy to play with.
It took me like two months to understand and know my old camera.
I can only imagine the lot of time it will take me to understand this new one.
That is going to be fun.

Time for lots of pictures.

Altars

Altars

I continue with the religious festivities that took place during the last week.
Part of it is the altars to virgin Mary.
It is related to the mourning, for her sons death.
The purple color is because of that and the importance of the date.

I wanted to share pics of those 4 altars.

This is a detail of the church of El Carmen.
Very interesting architecture style.
Lots of details, los of decorations, lots of shapes.

Me likes

Downtown SLP

DownTown SLP

I was back at my hometown, visiting my family.
Nice to be way from the island, from the hot weather, from the job for a few little days.
Terrible to fly by planes, airlines that are always late.
Religious weekend, so lots of places with quite some people. But the religious festivities are fun.

Some snaps from Downtown in San Luis Potosi

Top Left, is the Chatedral, it was restored a few time ago. Really nice building
Top Right, a look at the ceiling from inside, lots of details and decorations.
Down Left, a detail from inside the church of El Carmen. Lots of figures, one can spend hours just looking into ever little detail in there.
Down Middle, the church of "El Carmen", a really nice church.
Down Right, a night shot of one tower of the temple of san Francisco.

I like walking downtown when its not full of people, lots of really beautifull buildings.

My friend Cinthya and the dance night out on Saturday

My friend Cinthya and the dance night out on Saturday

My friend Cinthya and the dance night out on Saturday

AS I said, I was back at my hotel room, thinking, ok, no dancing tonight. I waited a bit, and the started removing the make-up.
While I was at it, the phone ringed, It was my friend Cynthia, who I have met for real friday night.
She asked "Did you went to the disco then???", I said "Nope"
She said "But, didn't you wanted to go", to which I answer "Yes, but not alone"
She went on "Would you want to go with me, even if I go as boy??"
And guess what Jessica said.

So after reapplying its of my makeup- this time I went a bit more eye-sadow, and a darker lipstick.
Change the skirt to the denim mini, and the top for another one, I was ready to go out.
That night I went to a different one, a dance-place called Hysteria. VEry nice and really big place.
Lots of electro-dance, trance music, me likes dancing that.
So dance all night, till 4 am, or 5 am, since the summer saving times in mexico change was that night.

Another great night dancing.

And I guess the hotel had some kind of thing to make me have funny moments on my returns.
This time, no problem with the key retreival. But I did shared the elevator with two girls.
I noticed the looks they gave me, I guess they were curious, plus make-up wasn't at best shape after a long night of dancing.

A big thank you hug and kiss to my friend cinthya for the dance night on Saturday.

And so it ended my weekend as Jessica.
Sunday got to visit relatives, and fly back to the island.

Kisses
Jessica

I'll be traveling to visit my parents since tomorrow, The holly week and things. So I'll be back in monday.
Wish me luck with a crazy thing I am planning to do, if I got the courage to do it, that is.

The restaurant adventure

The restaurant adventure

The restaurant adventure

I'll elaborate a bit more on the restauran adventure, since it was a very nice one.

I open the door to the restaurant, a bit scared, that they refuse me to go in.
The man at the entrance, just says "Good afternoon, smoking or no smoking"
My brain inmediately notices, he didn't said "miss".
I tried to say with a low voice "Non smoking, preferably", the voice, the problem of the voice.
But then he said "over here miss", pointing to a side of tables, allowing me to pass first. My mind got confussed.
So I sit down, the waitress came to leave the menu, and I decided for a nice piece of berry pie, and a beverage called squash (its mineral water, with pineapple and strawberry)
Some people looked at me, some others don't. People came in and out. I just enjoyed my pie and my beverage
Eating slowly, enjoying, reading bits of the book I carried.

At some point 2 girls came in, Guess one of them wanted me to go angry, since she said to the other, "Lets sit in this table here, so we can criticize transvest"
I just heard she said "Mmm, if going through boob surgery, why didn't she put big ones??", then the other, just said "I don't want to talk about that" and then went to talk on something else.

Then it was time to pay, so I asked the waitress if she could do me afavor, and took me a picture.
She says "sure, just wait me a little", me thinking she will go check her other tables and then back.
But no, she went to another table, to ask the man sitting there, to come over, and took the photo. Embarrassing moment.
He then asks "How do you want me to photograph you???"
And the waitres says, before I can say anything "IN a way that she looks as pretty as she is"
And I felt, like WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, like in heaven.
Thats the photo.

At the exit, after paying, they asked me to write my opinion, with my name, of course I put Jessica.

Thats my dinning adventure

Kisses
Jessica

Saturday Afternoon out.

Saturday Afternoon out.

Ok, so I told you about friday night.
Then it was saturday. Hotel didn't said anything about my multiple appeareances.
Morning I went out to do some errands, as boy, Oh, I bought a new camera, I will show some time in the future.
Around 5pm, I was back at hotel, with lots of bags. Quick shower, check phone for messages, none :(
MMMMM, but I really wanted to go out girl mode, what to do, go alone or not??????

Like if that ever stopped me from doing silly things. And so to select a more conservative outfit, to do a lighter make-up (and that still scares me a bit) Doesn't really show in the photo.
Again to pass through hotel reception to leave key, they just said "Enjoy your afternoon" and out I went, to walk, to enjoy the cool weather.
So what I did???? I just walked around Zona Rosa in Mexico City. Entered a couple of little stores, Go into the Music store to browse CD's, go into a little mall that its there.
After a bit, got a little tired of that much walking, and decided to go into a restaurant, order a piece of pie and a beverage, and sit down to enjoy and rest.

One of the girls that was possibly going to the dance-place in saturday, told me about a place were other girls met, so they go together.
And after leaving the restaurant, I went out, and called for a taxi. Spooky thing, to go into a taxi alone, in a city where it's dangerous to use a taxi.
There I met two nice persons, one being one of the girls that sometimes go, but she wasn't that day. WE talked a bit, waiting to see if any of my friends or any other girl arrived, but no luck.
Later a man arrived, who knew the other 2 people, and sit down to talk a bit more. It was then time for they to go.

SO they asked, where would I go now, I just said, back to my hotel. The man offered to give me a drive. The girl said she was a nice person, and I could trust to drive with him.
He drive me to my hotel, parked, and then we talked for a little while. Had to say good-bye in a hurried and probably rude way, it was becoming late, and I got scared that he might have asked "Go to the dance place with me" and I would probably answer "yes"
There I was back at my room, a nice out afternoon, but apparently, no dance that night.

Friday dance night.

Friday dance night.

Friday dance night.

And so there I went with 2 girls, a very special thanks to them for allowing me to go with them.
To a dance place in Mexico City called Espartaco, interesting place.
Big place, two levels, a central area for dancing and little shows they make there. And the shows are presented often. during our stay I remember 4.
Be around, talk, and dance.

When I went dancing with one of the girls, Regina, we were dancing there all happy.
Then there was this girl (a genetic woman) , who went into the dance area, alone to dance. Songs passed, and with every song she was coming closer to us.
And so at some point she was there, next to us, and she started smiling to us, and dancing with us. At some point my new friend left me dancing with the girl.
I kept dancing with her ( silly me, I forgot her name), she told me how I look pretty and like her niece, and how her niece looked like some artist. I complimented her as well.
It was fun to dance with her, she was a really nice girl, we danced till the music stopped for the next show. She then went to sit with her friends, and I went to look for mines.

the time ot leave had arrived, and as we walked outside, oh mooshy, the sun was already coming out We were there till almost 6 am. Big night.
They give me a ride to my hotel. Had to go back as girl, interesting thing happened there.
So I ring the doorbell, the man at reception during night opens, I enter, he asks "Which room , miss"
I say "room 201", he checks for the keys, and the name on the tag. He gaves weird look, then asks "the name of registration???",
So I give him my boy name, he says "ok, and you are????", and I had to said "I'm him", he is like "really?? ok, here is your key".
I said thanks, and walk to the elevator, spooky thing,

Kisses
Jessica
Who at that moment didn't know if hotel was to allow me to stay for another day.

A special thanks to Regina, for the talk we had. Let me saw lots of things in a new perspective.

20 to 14

20 to 14

20 to 14

As I was going toward the hotel I have stayed before on my travels to Mexico City, my mind was racing.
What would I manage to do the weekend??? Thousands of thoughts and ideas around that.
I then got myself a room for the weekend, a quick shower, to take the litttle backpack qith the necessary stuff for just that night, and straigth to blush.
Over there the ritual of all times, change, wait, get make-up done, see the girl in the mirror.
Great thing was being able to meet in person a few of the friends a have been talking to over the messenger thingie. Realize that each other existed for real. Little chats here and there, just enjoying.
Then I heard someone "We are going to this dance place", and Jessica, being a girl who preffers to stay inside, yeah right, asked "Can I go with you????"
And so, I was there less than 2 hours, and at the point ready to go away, dancing night, coool

The title refers to the fact that I spent 20 hours as girl this weekend, and only 14 photos were taken, and half of them are blurry or unfocused.

Just me

Solo yo

Solo yo

Besos
Jessica

Just me

I know it's there, but I can't sense it
I hear it, but it's just in my mind
pleasure and torment at the same time.

Sweet dream from which I want to never wake up,
nightmare that I enjoy in fear,
ecstasy and pain in one self.

Beating slowly, sleeping deep inside me
I know it's here, and at the same time I lost it
happiness and misery together.

A cry that becomes a smile,
a laughter that becomes a tear
both and none at once.

Just staring

Just staring

From time to time I like to sit down, and just stare at the horizon, just loking away, wothout looking something in specific.
Like if I was waiting for something out of the ordinay to appear there, where my eyes can barely see the details, where it's difficult to see where the land endas, and the sky starts.
A daydreamer look, thats what a friend used to call it.

Is this being Jessica something similar, is it dreaming awake of something that is not there????

Confused.

Kisses
Jessica.

PS, about the pic, well finally got to use the new black-white shoes. It was fun.
First one, the long wig , still with the braids,,
Then I undid the braids, it was sad, it was a lot of work to make them. SO back is the long black hair.
Next the usual Jessica hair.

And the fourth one, thats my hair, yes, no wig in that one, one year and three months, and it is now that long, Me likes, still needs to grow a bit bigger.

A day at the beach.

A day at the beach.

Probably some of my friends who live in places where it is still cold and snowy will hate me, but it is spring already.

SO this weekend was another of the staying in the island ones.
Office work Saturday morning, the cleaning the apartment at the afternoon, ended all tired, go to sleep early.
Sunday, waking up before the sun rised, looking up, no clouds, like a good day to go to the beach.
Grabbed my chair, towel, water, a book, put on my swimmming suit, then the oter swimming suit, and a shirt.
Some sun blocker, in some areas, didn't want to get all burned, but wanted to tan a bit.
And off to the highway. As usual went to the beach area far from the city, the one is almost empty almost all the time.

So there I was finally, looking at the sea, the waves, little ones this time hitting the sand, The blue sky, the very little clouds. A really calmed day, perfect.
Sit down for a while just to enjoy it. I like th e sound the water makes. Plus lots of seadirds, really fun to see.
Time to change and be on my swimsuit. lay on my chair or on the towel to get a bit of tan.
It was during one of my times in laying in the towel, when o put my head up, away from my book, that I saw, 3 little heads over a sand mountain, oh my people.
Quickly grabbed my short, pull top off, and continue reading a bit, then stand up to see who they were, just a little family over there, like 40 meters away. plus a sand mountain was between us.
Looking that they were to stay there and probably didn't see me, back to swimming suit. Keep ennjoying my day at the beach. They went away at some point.
Later while taking the pics, a helicopter passed over, guess the passenger got quite a view.

Then swimming a little bit, and I must say, it is more comfortable to swim in the boy swimming suit. But it was still nice to sit over the sand waiting for my swimsuit to dry.
After a while, my stomach was saying, me hungry, so time to pack things up, and go back home. A nice day at the beach.

I posted a series of little vids, from the sea. here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLreMbGsYkY

Now to explain the pictures.

Top row, at the left can see a pelican and a seagull fling around the sea, they have spotted some nice fish. And it was the pelican who got the catch, in the right.
Middle left, a little seabird, next to some rock. Cute
Middle right, I liked that plant formation, looks like the shape of a person walking, Hey, isn't the publicity from some beverage company like that, Mmmm, maybe I can sell this image to them. Free whiskey perhaps??
Down Left, The water breaking at the sand, little waves this time, it was not too windy.
Down Right, another seagull on the sky, and I think it won't mind if I stole bits of the blue sky around to post tiny images of myself.

Well thats it for my Sunday day.

It returned from the land of the Dead (The best camera in the world)

I am ultra happy.
It Survived
It returned from the land of the dead.
It must be the most resistant camera in the world.

I learned one thing, it takes more than 3 days, and less than 6 for it to dry and come back to live after a full water drop.

Now, I need a new excuse for a new camera. Or maybe she sensed that I was to buy a replacement and decided it was not its time yet.

My friend Marina

My friend Marina

Here is a photo of my new friend Marina and me, remember I talked about her a few weeks ago, when I had to stay on the island one weekend, and she was here on visit.
Well I also got approval from her to post a picture.
I liked this one when the two of us girls are happy sitting on a bench in my park, well it is not my park, it belongs to the city, but being that I like going there so often when in girl.
I think this pic is more natural looking than a more lighted one of the two of us standing in front of a wall.
And I know, not all ladylike the way I am sitting, but I have to run to sit, in order to appear on the photo.

AguaSelva, San Cristobal, my broken camera and some other places in Chiapas.

AguaSelva, San Cristobal, my broken camera and some other places in Chiapas.

AguaSelva, San Cristobal, my broken camera and some other places in Chiapas.

Thats a long title.
Well , it was a 3 day weekend here in Mexico. Spring time celebration (actually it's the day of some past-president, but I prefer to think it's because of start of spring)
SO I decided to visit a few Places around Chiapas.

I visited a nice watefalls in the limits of Tabasco and Chiapas called AguaSelva, really nice, quite some pretty flowers, but many plants were still missing flowers, too early.
Then I arrived to the lovely town of San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas. It's a really lovely town. With a really lovely architecture.
Many churches, some of them in top of the hills around, so did lots of walking and climbing.
Also its a really nice place to see and buy tradicional handicrafts. Plus lots of girls use the traditional clothing, which adds a lot of mistique to the town.
Lots of tourists there, mostly from different countries. And lot of them return to live there, and so it has lots of variety in amenities.
A great place to have fun as well, a very varied nightlife. It was fun.

Next day I went out , on the road to my destination, I saw a waterfall place, and there the accident Happened, my camera, fell into the water, ME SAD, ME CRYING, my camera is now dead, kaput, broken, no sirve. :(
Then to the Lagunas of Montebello (Montebello Lagoon), it seems to be a really nice place, unfortunately, it was really, really cold, and with lots of fog.
So couldn't see all the lagoon at their true beauty, but anyway it was an interesting spectacle to see the fog. Also was nice to remeber how it is to be in a forest with very cold weather.
On my return I passed to a Cave near San Cristobal, quite impressive. Also forest, lots of pines.

Last day, I went to a town near San Cristobal called San Juan Chamula. Wow that town is really interesting.
First thing, they do not allow to take pictures of people, ceremonies, inside the church, or you can go to jail (and not the usual jail, since the town has its own law)
There is only one church in the town, that looks like a catholic church, but it is really not. First there is no priest, the priest only goes to the San Juan day, and to do baptism.
There is no chairs, altar is different, composed of three figure, Christ, San Juan, and another San Juan. And apparently its representing the 3 creation mayan gods, and the sun god.
Saints are on the side walls. The ground is covered with pine leaves (to make the ground holly). Lots of candles everywhere (Its a simbol of feeding the gods, plus the fire is a purifier)
Peope doing prayers in front of the candles, in tzotzil or tzetzal (mayan languages), throwing alochol and soda to the candles to feed the fire.
And while there, in one of the altars, a girl took a chicken, passed over the candles fire, then around the body of the woman who was also praying , and then killed the chicken. Apparently is a soul-healing process.
Our guide also took us around town, explainned us about the crosses than can be seen around town, that looks like the catholic cross, but it is not, it's a mayan one, simbol of the Ceiba, the holly tree.
And while there we got to enter into the house of one of the religous authorities, to see the altar of one Saint, the even lets us try the home-made alcohol they do and use.
Very interesting place.

So I am happy, it was a really fun weekend, got to see lots of beautifull and interesting places.

But now I am sad, my camara is dead, I will need to buy a new one :(

Kisses
Jessica.

Am I a dancing diva???

Am I a dancing diva

Am I a dancing diva???

It said so in my top, Am I???

Kisses
Jessica

Interesting thing, just a few pics ago, a friend, Iandra, said the word diva on her comment.

And then to dance.

And then to dance.

I was back to my hotel, saying bye to my friend Fernanda, Vanessa was already getting ready for the night.
My outfit was pretty, but like too long to go dancing, so time to change.
Change the loose blouse for a tight top, the long skirt for a shorter one, the low shoes for the high heeled silver ones.

Makeup, should I remove, then start all over for a new makeup?? Or could I manage to redo-it over the one I had??
I thought, maybe just add a bits of color in the eyes, and choose a redder lipstick, yes, better try that.
Then hair, should I kept the same one?? Well I was going for fun time, so I decided to try a funny look with the curly wig.

And there I was, a totally different Jessica from the one that was walkling downtown just a couple of hours before.

Took a pic with my friend Vanessa, just before going out, yupiiii, dancing girls
The usual, drive, arrive, enjoy the little show there (this time the girls imitated some singers, a dancing boy, and hen a little comedy show)
After that, time to dance, and dance, and dance, as long as I could. As usual had to stop from time to time to cool off.

It was time to return, scary part, since on the way to the disco, I saw several points with police and soldiers stops.
The soldiers just make us signals to continue our drive, so no problem there.
But just a little ahead, it was a police stop, and they were stoping to ask drivers of every car that passed by.

Oh my, thats scary I thought.
I tried to calm down, last thing I wanted was to be nervous when It was my turn to face the police officer.

It was out turn then, I put the interior car light on, and pull the window down. And said "Good night"
The police officer just said, "Good night young-lady , we are doing the anti-alcohol-driving check, did you drink any alcohol beverage tonight???"
I said "No, nothing at all"
The officer then took a look to the inside of the car, jejeje, I did noticed he checked my legs, and my friend.
I was thinking "Please, don't ask for my driver's licence"
He then said "could you please blow a bit of breath toward me to check???" (Poor officer, it must be really awful to smell every drivers breath)
And so I did.
Then he said "It's ok, you can follow to your destination"
I said thanks, and started driving.

At the end, that scary situation, wasn't that scary at all.

And so we arrived to the hotel, after a night of dance.

It was time for Jessica to go to sleep.

Some thinking.

Some thinking. - Un poco de Reflexion

Some thinking.

Time to do a bit of thinking about this new experience, going to a restaurant and walking downton of Merida as a girl.
Yes I was ultra nervous, a bit scared, but I enjoyed it, I liked doing it, it felt great.
It helped a lot that I was not alone, let me enjoy it a bit more, since I had to worry a bit less.
Also I think it was important that the clothes I used didn't draw that much attention. And I do like the way longer skirts look, even if don't show that much leg.
Being this an afternoon that went without trouble, gives me hope that I can do it again sometime in the future.
And next times try better to go with someone, instead of alone.
I am still a bit scared of the use of very little make-up, me feels it doesn't cover that much.
About being nervous, I suppose that as I go outside as girl more times, I will get less nervous.
Thats what happened with my night drives, and my dancing outs, first times I was too scared to really enjoy them. Now I am still a bit little nervous (which I think is good to remeber to be cautious to be safe), but I can enjoy it now.
One thing I have to work out is the voice, and I don't know how.

A big thank you hug and kiss to my friend Fernanda who went out with me in this adventure.

Walking around downtown Merida

Walking around downtown Merida

After going out of the restaurant I was back inside my friend car. And then a question "Would you like going to downtown???"
In my mind the following thought happened : Should I risk myself more outside to being spotted, should I go to a place I know is full of people, that even at late night is fully lighted. The idea of walking among all those people seemed scary.
But then, it was a golden opportunity to walk around girl mode, and with someone walking next to me. Plus I have already been in a crowded place (remember Campeche downtown) and that time I was alone. So no reason to not going.
I said "Yes, of course", and there we went.

Indeed downtown was crowded with people, and cops and soldiers.
In a way lots of cops, means a bit of safety, not likely someone would do something agressive.
But due to the circumstances also bit of risky, what if they were more paranoid than me, and saw suspicious behavior in that nervous girl who looked too tall and a bit boyish.

We walked around downtown, just a few blocks from where my friend parked. Stopping from time to time to take a picture.
Didn't notice any reaction, yet it is difficult to notice reactions in just the 2 seconds one face the person walking next to, probably people didn't even got time to get a good look when I walked next to them.
There was one point at the main park, my friend was leading me to a building for a picture, thing was, on the way to there, there was a group of like 15 boys and girls in school uniforms, around 15-16 years old.
Those are the scary ones, those are the ones that would not stop from laughing or mocking. We passed next to them, and nothing, no reaction.

Then first little problematic thing, walking round in a city with hot and humid weather (and after rain), with long sleeved blouse, and a wig over my head, well, you know.
My friend suggested I removed the blouse, and silly Jessica, first forgot to undo the buttons on the sleeve, so not easy to pass my hands out, quite an spectacle the way I removed the blouse. Also as my friend said later to me, the way I removed it, not ladylike at all, completely boyish.
we continued walking around, then back to my friend's car, it was time to take me back to my hotel.

Coffee and Pie

Coffee and Pie

Coffee and Pie

Where was I??? Oh yes, I was about to come down the car to go into a nice restaurant in Merida, all in doubt, fear and excitement. But I was there, it was my opportunity to do a more normal activity, and so I went out the car.
The walk to the restaurant, trying to pull myself together, It is nice to have the doors open for me. and there the first face to face to other people. The entry man at the restaurant, and a waiter standing there.
I saw them looking toward us (yes they have to see the new clients) I know they said something , but couldn't properly distinguish what. All I saw was the hand of one of them pointing towards the tables.
As we walked toward the designated table, we passed 2 tables with people, first one they didn't look, they were happy eating, next one indeed the man sit there took a look at us three.
Which side of the table to sit down?? should I sit on the one facing the door, where everyone entering would see my face, but I would be abel to see people enter?????, or should I chose the one giving my back, where only the very few who walked to the very last table would see me, but also I would not see much????. I decided to be able to see people ocme inside the place :D
My friend sit next to me, and the host left us there. I wanted to turn my face to see if he had any reaction once he left away, but that would have been so obvious, so I didn't.
Then came a boy, to leave the menu, for what I could notice, he barely looked at us. I looked through it, and find they served lemon pie, yumiii, me likes it. AS I was looking my friend asked me what I wanted. I think she probably wanted to tell the waiter the order for both of us.
I could have let that be the case, easier to pass if I didn't talk, but then I would be a mute girl. SO I asked my friend, "can I order myself???".
A waitress arrived then (a really cute girl) My friend ordered, and then it was time for me to talk. The girl looked towards me, and I, trying to lower my voice, started saying, "A lemon pie and a cofee", hoping my voice was not too hard (to sound so boyish), hoping my voice was not too low (that she couldn't hear me, and I had to talk again).
But she was able to hear me, as she repeated what we ordered. Then she left, with no reaction I could notice. Was I really passing??? Or was I so nervous that I couldn't notice???. Later she returned to leave what we ordered, being all nice.
My friend and I were talking, a really nice chat, and also a bit of an important one, about one part of Jessica and telling someone about.
Then a family (couple and a little boy) and the waitress were walking toward us, I was nervous, would they have a reaction to me?? but they just walk by next to us (the woman indeed look toward us) and sit in the table next to us (the one to my back).
That put me into a thought, either they didn't notice, or they didn't care, or they were too lazy to walk to a table far away from me.
The waitress returned later, with another girl, to let us know that her shift was over, that the new girl was now our waitress.
Then came time to go away, ask for the bill, my friend left me alone for a little moment, and then to go to the cashier to pay, and back outside. By then it was already night time.

So how that part of the adventure went, except from the beginning when I was too nervous, I enjoyed the rest of it.
Didn't notice any reaction of the few people that saw me, or talk to me.
And I had a really nice time talking to my friend. I really liked doing this.
Was it possible that I indeed passed as a girl??? or I waas just unaware of any reaction and so I didn't notice??? Or the people just didn't care,???
My friend later told me that she indeed looked to see if the waitress had any reaction once she left the table, and said she didn't saw any.

Is there more to this adventure, or did it end there????

Outside during daylight

Outside during daylight

Just a little warning, maybe no need for it, since you probably know how I like to write about my adventures for long and long, cut into several pieces each long on its own.
And this won't be different. So be prepared to read, jejejeje. Now to my storytelling.

Saturday morning I jump in the car, driving around, the jungle to my right, the sea to my left, the road to Merida to the front. Just a little stop to go by Campeche to pick up my partner in dance Vannessa.
Arriving to Merida, oh the scary part, the city is full of military vehicles, soldiers, federal agents, police cars, and lots of security people. Apparently some president from some country was visiting the city.
Panic time??? Not really, I was already there, so just needed to be little more cautious and less nervous. The plan to have a nice and fun time girl mode was going to be, no matter what or who. Jejej, Me sounds so brave on that last sentence, but in reality I was a bit scared.
So after a little worry because of the rain in the cty, and getting something to eat, finding a hotel to stay, it was time for Jessica to appear and get all ready to go out.

On advice to my friend Fernanda, who was going to go out with me during the afternoon, I was to wear long skirt, light colors, a more natural "not so heavy" makeup, trying to look the more natural I could. So the option was the green-blue outfit.
First scary part, how to do my make-up light, not so flashy. I tried to go easy on tthe make-up base, use light color on lip and eyes, when finished I felt like it was not enough, that I needed more to hide myself, but left it as it was.
Then my friend arrived, a few test to see how I walked, how I sit, how I talk, to tell my friend Vanessa (who was not going) I was already going out, and there outside to real world, to walk among the humans.
And at a time where there was still sunlight (yesterdays pic), well sunlight didn't kill me, so a vampire I am not. Of course all nervous, I was there to be seen by the people of Merida, witouth the safe of darkness.
Then up to my friend car, a little rest, a little hidding, and going into a coffee place, to have a nice chat. First place, mm it was closed, surrounded by soldiers. So to a ddiferent one we went.

And there in the parking lot, the last moment of safety, it was time to go down the car, to walk into a new experience, to face the real people.
Would I be able to?? Or would I show up all shaking in nervousness, o even worst faint of panic.
Would I pass as a girl?? Would they notice something weird without knowing what it was ??? Or would the people realize the truth under that appereance???
And if they notice, what would be their reaction??? Would they laugh at me?? Would they deny us to go in??? would they say something?? would they just ignore the fact and treat me like another costumer???

All those doubt, should I really go down the car and face all those posibilities????

Bye for today

Kisses

Shoe Crazy

Shoe Crazy

Ok, thats it, no more proof is needed, I am loosing it, I am becoming a crazy person, loosing contact with reality.
Or maybe as one friend said, I am unique at my unique style.

But oh my, where I am going to put all those shoes I now have

The red ones, they were just cheap.

The black and white, they look so cute and fun. I have all those crazy ideas of what to wear with them.
Of course first I need to practice standing, walking, posing on them. They are way too high. Me scared of falling down.

But it will be a nice visual experiment, just like this other crazy visual thing I did
And also a good test of my balance-equilibrium abilities.

Saturday Crazyness

Saturday Crazyness (At The Park)

Ok, so this weekend I stayed on the island, for what seemed to be a probably boring weekend. And this is what being with not much to do can cause.
Well there I was Saturday afternoon, doing not much, just there when a messenger window poped out.
A girl I have spoke on messenger before, said to me, that a friend of hers was here, in the same island I live. That she wanted to go out.
I said, ok, lets talk, but was not really convinced about the "meeting a complete stranger", but not having much to do, I entered the conversation.
This girl apparently just wanted to go out as girl, and me being very cautious about explaining the whats, hows, whens. I decided to break some of my rules about how Jessica meets real life people, and take a risk.
At the end it was worth taking the risk, this girl I met indeed seems to be a nice person, very calm.
Since here there is no place I can go dance easily, we just went outside driving around town, just two girls, in a car driving arond the city.
Then went by the little park, yes the same one I been in before on my own. This time I was less nervous, not being alone there.
We sat ther for a little while, just talking, enjoying the light breeze.
So at the end, it turned out to be that me staying here in the island this weekend was actually a good lucky thing.

I love doing Paper planes

I love doing Paper planes

When I was just a little kid, I loved to do paper figures.
I liked doing paper boats when it rained, one of the streets by the house caught quite some water when rainning, which formed like a little river for my paper boats.
I also loved doing paper airplanes, became quite good in them, could do one to fly long distance, ones to aim a spot, one to fly for long times (but short distance).
Doing paper planes put me in trouble at school one day, but it was worth it, it was fun what I did.

Being grounded this weekend, used the time to do some planes at home, at play with them, It as fun as I remember.

PS. Mmm, looking at the image, looks like every photo to the right I am showing more skin and less clothes. Good thing there is no fourth picture, Or is it???

Doing Faces

Faces

Had to stay in the island this weekend due to work things :(
I was a bit sad, no chance to go out tourist or dancing :(
Well at least I can go tomorrow to the beach, if it doesn't rain.

The photo, well just me standing in that outfit.
Then putting a sad face, kind of look like I am about to cry.
Last one, oh my, maybe not so good idea to put it, I look like a rabid monster. Well thats one of my angry faces, beware, I don't use to bite, but maybe I can start.

How to hide????

How to Hide????

Should I cover my eyes?? like in those pics at newspapers, where they put that black bar on the eye area. But thats dangerous, with my eyes cover I would not be able to see. And sad as well, since I love seeing.
Maybe cover my mouth??? Old bandits, bank robers, the evil guy in western movies, cover that area to hide their identities. But then you can't talk as easy, plus voice sounds strange.
Perhaps cover one side of me?? If only half is at view, it migh help. Like the phantom of the opera. But what if I cover the wrong side.
Or should I cover what I don't have?? but then if I don't have it how can I hide it???

Maybe I should wear a blanket with two holes on the eyes.

Movie: El dia de la Bestia

The movie wednesday are back, well other wednesdays either I wrote about my experiences, or was too busy, or simply didn't want to write.
Today I am going to talk about another horror movie, that I really like, its a Spanish horror movie, called "El dia de la bestia" (Day of the beast in English), directed by someone named Alex de la Iglesia.
More than a movie to die of horror, is a movie to die of laughter, its really suer funny.
Ok, but before I continue my post, as usual, if you haven't seen it, well go see it, then maybe come back read my silly comments.

-----

------
possible spoilers warning
------

Well the movie is about a priest, that apparently has solved the code, and found out when the Anti-christ is going to be born. A little problem, doesn't know were, except that for some reason he is sure it's going to be in Madrid.
So to find the location, he thinks of this plan, of contating the Devil and ask, and to cheat him to beleive him, he tries to be a bad person.
Its super funny to see his ideas of the bad things he does to be evil, one includes listen heavy-metal, thats when he meets Jose MAria, a record sale owner.
He is even funnier than the priest, all the movie he goes doing all kind of silly-funny stuff, in a rocker style. Really makes you laugh so hard.
Later, they see a psiquic man on tv, and they decide he might be able to help with talking to the devil, and then the things go al wacko, kidnapping, murder attempts, running away fro cops, all kind of silly crazy signals about the devil.
The end, well its crazy too.

For today I say goodbye

Two nights in a row.

Two nights in a row.

As I told in the last picture, I went out Friday night.
Well Saturday I was going around town, just enjoying abit in boy mode. Messaged my friend Mariela to see if it was posible to meet with her.
Then I received a Message, but it was from my other friend, couldn't get her plane, was flying back till Sunday.
I left a bit time pass to see if my other friend said something, she as going out with her girlfriend, so more probably not meeting.
And so the plans for a second night out started to be created.

So fast forward, to the night, ther we are, and my friend say she wants to go as girl too. yipii, girls night out.
The usual you know , the dressing, make-pup, prep, and all. A quick picture befor going out.
I was nervous again, even after going out and back last night, I was scared of doing it again. Even after hotel people said nothing.
But I couldn't be scared, I was suppossed to be the brave one, to support my friend on her first night out as girl.
There we go, out, and ready to a nice dance night.

She was indeed nervous when we arrived to the dance place, I told her to sit down, I was afraid she might felt down.
Then after a while, I asked if it was ok we went dancing a bit. and it was dancing night for most of the night.
I had a great night dancing, I feel like I really needed it.
Yes there was this guy who went by us couple of times to dance with any of us, had to sent him away, and do it in bad voice last time.
But except from that, a great time, I was able to enjoy the night.

I hope my friend enjoyed it and had a great time too, but I know being all that nervous can be a big thing, and you forget to enjoy.

Me I just had a super weekend, two nights out as girl, was amazing.
Mmm, looks like I like showing a bit of extra legs, perhaps need to buy longer skirts.

Night girl.

Friday Night Out

This weekend was a great weekend. I went out as Jessica, not one but two nights in a row. Wow.

But lets take the story back to the beginning.
So a girl I have talked for a long time over, but never met due to the where we both live being far away, was visiting the nearby city of Villahermosa.
She was going to return to her place, by saturday morning, so It was a good opportunity to meet FRiday night, and maybe go out.
So I said, ok let's try that, and took the road, friday afternoon after work time was over.

So I arrived there, get myself a place, and then went out around waiting for my friend to call. Suddenly the phone showed one message.
AS usual the scary part of meeting someone in live. The usual fears of what if she is not who I think, what if she has a hidden agenda, what if she is in it for something bad, what if..., well too many what ifs.
I went by her place, all nervous bu twith lot of caution, but as I could see, she was more nervous than me. We talked little bit, then head to my place, where we continue talking,
At some point when I felt like my nervous state was starting to go away, I told her, if it was ok, if we started changing to girl modes.

So the ritual of dressing up started. Then makeup, and finally I was semi-confident of the look I got on me.
My friend then came out dressed up as well, she tried a couple of outfits and wigs. I asked if she was ready for me to apply her make-up so the two of us girls went out.
She indeed show a bit of fear on me saying "outside as girls". She said she wanted the make-up but not sure she was going to be able to go out girl mode.
Since it was starting to go late, she went and changed back, deciding to go with me in the boy mode, and off we went.

I was nervous, had to pass through hotel reception as girl, and did notice that the 3 people that were over there indeed looked at me. Up to the car, and off to the dance place.
It was less crowded than previous time, we ordered something to drink (soda for me) and sit down, and we just chat and chat, talking about things about this magic of dressing, about things we like, about stories of ourselves.
Before I noticed they were turning the lights on, meaning they were about to close, didn't got a chance to dance then, since we spent all the time chatting, but it was great. It felt so great, to go out.

Time to go back, again the scary part of passingt through reception. Thats when my friend th picture I am showing.
My friend then dress up again, I did her makep, that was funny. Took a few pictures of her, a few pics of us both, none of myself :D.
Then being already becoming too late (or too early) time to change both back, and give her a ride to her place.

Finally back to my room, to get some sleep, after a great night out.

Pinky-boyish girl.

Pinky-boyish girl.

Ok, one more of my silly experiment from yesterday night.
this time I decided to see how would Jessica look like if instead of a skirt she wore pants.

It looks funny.
I like the top, that I will sure use again with a skirt.
I overdid the face make-up, perhaps next time I can use a less flashy lipstick and less eyeshadow, and actually look like a casual girl.

Hopefully this weekend Jessica will go dancing. Keep fingers crossed, I don't want to be a sad girl on Monday.
